Animal cruelty is an oddly fashionable human obsession. Most of the people I know get a laugh out of things dying; possibly even their own kind. Now, if it happens to be something cute and fuzzy getting torn asunder by something sharp and angled, there are those that are less composed and more eager to shout nonsensically at whomever allowed it to occur.
