Best and longest single player rpg?

Actually, in addition to Morrowind + its expansions, the player-made mod adventures can keep you busy for another 80+ hours, if you manage to finish the game.

2nd for Xenogears. Graphics are not great now, but the anime scenes are still good and the game has the most complex and intriguing storyline I have seen in any game by far. If you want to play a great RPG, you are going to have to look for the PS1 or super nintendo consols IMHO.

4th for Xenogears. Wow Xenogears has a fanbase where I least expected it. I thought this board's fanbase was strictly FF.

Baldur's Gate 2 is simply amazing. Best single player RPG for computer, without a doubt.

Final Fantasy III for the SNES is my all time fav, and is a fairly long one, with a few optional sub-plots and quests along the way too.

Have to disagree with Baldur's Gate. For some reason i was just never able to get into it. Never was a fan of the overhead view after diablo.
