John Blakely is the senior producer for Everquest 2.
This is taken from the gamespot Everquest 2 preview video, and I quote...

What the hell? So...you're saying there's more, game, more play? What the hell does that mean? Are you trying to say you're focusing on the entire game more? So that it won't suck ass? Or are you trying to peddle the game to every type of player at once by saying contradictory statements? Thank god you're not in marketing department =p. Oh wait, that probably works >_<.

I have not read the article but going from this sentence he probably means the focus on raids is not as strong as it is in Everquest.

Obviously if it's the old producer this double talk is probably why he got the boot. If it's the new producer this is probably why he got the job. *grin*

But really, I think the proper translation for this tidbit would just be:

"I suck at interviews"

Yes I suppose a raid is a form of grouping, however you need terms to differentiate the different types of encounters/zones/etc.

That's why I go with Solo/Grouping/Raid and that is why I believe he was talking about the focus of the game not being as much on raids as Everquest 1 is.
