+6 Internets | SLC Central - snopes.com That's a much better place for annoying conversations about the meaning and relevance of feminism. Extremes are annoying, old news. Pics, okgo. Last edited by Baazl; 10-22-2007 at 06:30 AM.. |

| Women in chess have a separate grading level to achieve titles. They also have separate international events etc. However, women can participate in most Men's opens. The restrictions are usually in amateur competitions or based on rating. There is only one active female in the top 100 players in the world (Judit Polgar - around the top 10 in the world) |

| Why do they have separate world records for men and women in olympics, running, etc? When it comes to physical "sportsy" stuff, men seem in general to *slightly* eek out the lead at the upper end. Again, not trying to slam women here but state a (possibly unpopular) fact. Look up the world records for olympic sports. That said, I will never ever run as fast as some of those women do. But I am perfectly ok with that. And I doubt I will ever beat out the woman who holds the number of children popped out world record. Fathered? Maybe. |

While they were doing their normal photoshop work, they forgot to replace her belly button! I don't know if it is actually true, but funny if so. |

| That girl's mom and dad are the walking definition of fucked up parents. I get that she's got talent and has marketable looks, but her old man knows dick all about golf, else he'd be the first one to stop this nonsense of her playing against men. Annika Sorenstam might be the best female golfer who ever swung a club and she only did it once at a short course that played to her game really well, and she missed the cut. Wie's mom and dad might want to ponder why there has never been a woman tee it up at the US Open, when the rules to qualify allow anyone, amateur or pro, to try to qualify, regardless of gender. A 1.4 handicap on the men's index and a top three in a local and then sectional qualifier is all it takes. Doesn't really get more fair and equal than that.
