actually, in a women's studies class I had, we learned that you have to be "in power" in order to be racist/sexist/whatever else, and I think it's a pretty widely accepted idea amongst feminists.
I completely disagree with the idea, but it is what is taught in case that has any value. /shrug

I tend to think modern society is dangerously pro-feminist, theres a lot of positions of power that arn't corporate or political(wife vs husband, I'd venture to guess at least in the US, wives have a disproportional amount of relative power to their husband) though I think most intelligent feminists know they already won, and only pursue their agenda to keep the status quo.

Hell, thats how we oppressed them!

I think "in power" refers more to the world/america in general as opposed to your specific situation. I'm not making an argument either way about who has more power in our world, but I think most people would say that men are more powerful in the world. (more influence and such, not physical strength or anything like that)
