It depends what type of soda you drink and how/when your teeth are exposed. If you drink the shit with a straw and/or have it with meals when you brush/rinse right away, then you prob won't have issues. But if you swirl non-diet soda around your mouth like mouthwash and only brush at night/morning (or only during the morning), you will have erosion at the gum line with enough time. Part soda, part bacteria feeding on sugar resting in those pockets and producing their own acid.

It has nothing to do with "weak teeth"
