| Maybe some of you shittake (isnt that a Japanese shroom type - hah I have figured it out!) connoisseurs can clue me in here. 1 shit (your own) is bad but tolerable if you had to for a little bit. 1 shit (not your own) is retched. 2 of your shits is worse than 1 but better than 1 of somebody else's. But 2 different peoples shit. That begs the question. Is it worse than 1 shit because it is 2 separate shits and thus more pungent? Or do the shits intermingle and thus are just completely like 1 shit? Or somewhere in between? A bit worse than 1 alone but not as bad as .... something worse than shit? When you boil it all down, our repulsions come from somewhere, even if they don't make logical sense. If you dip 100% sterile cockroaches in pure water - people still don't want to drink the water. Notwithstanding the fact that at some point in time - cockroaches actually do touch water and that water is drunk by people. Oh and all of those municipal treatment plants..... if you really think they completely 100% "purify" water. Got news for you. Nobody removes pharmaceuticals, certain toxins and metabolites. It might be reduced sure and the water LOOKS clean but its not really. At least not chemically. Every water source (unless it is deionized, etc) has a slightly distinct taste and that taste isn't 100% benign (although usually mineral based and not other impurities which are usually tasteless. Is it enough to worry about? Probably not. But still. Cleaner than the deionized water after the 100% sterile cockroach was dipped in it? Probably not. |
