Consider the weight of a bike plus person vs the weight of a fully loaded truck.

Also - basic physics. If the bike comes at you from behind going 120 and the truck is going 70 then the relative difference is "only" 50 mph. So the biker has the same basic force as if he was going 50 mph into a wall, not 120, because the truck was moving away from him at 70 mph.

50 mph is still in the survivable range for a motorcycle accident. Certainly not something you would walk away from unscathed but you COULD live.

Also keep in mind that the trucker is in a cab that has some insulation and the road makes noise too.... he might hear a thump but the back of the truck is some 25 odd feet away, outside and the wind is blazing past. So they MIGHT feel it, maybe, but as to if they would actually feel it enough to stop their cab is debatable. They probably would think they ran over something minor or some cargo shifted and just keep going. The fully loaded truck (under DOT rules in the US) can be 80,000 lbs. The motorcycle is what? 800 with driver? So 1% of the mass. F=MA.... and his A is only 50 mph into the truck. I can do the calculation but I guarantee you the force felt on the truck driver is minimal at best.

More like 600. Most sport bikes are under 400 lbs.

I heard that suicidal biker's are the most poisonous bikers in the world, but their hondas can't break the siding of a truck. Just make sure they don't crash into the front windshield!

Surprised an '02er is moaning about that pic. I have been coming here since like '05 and I have seen worse. None of the admins have done anything to the pics so I suggest you sack up before looking at the intranets anymore.

And where is the FAIL pic for that? Someone needs to get on that.

I disagree. If people want to see that kind of shit, they know where to go. Everyone keeps hiding behind this blanket statement of "I've seen crap like that here before." Go jump off a bridge you lemmings. If you think it is so acceptable, see how far you get with some pics before a mod intervenes.

This is not rotten.com

In all fairness he came very close. If we'd found him a few minutes later he'd be dead, if they hadn't found the bullet during the first exploratory surgery he'd probably be permanently paralyzed, etc., etc., etc., lots of unlikely things happened that kept him alive and able to recover cognition. The joke has been made before though.

How far did the truck drag him with his head stuck in the back? I see no wreckage.

Ah yes, the strength of a man is simply measured by his ability to look at a picture.

You're a fucking dork.

I'm not moaning. Just asking politely if people could cut that shit out, because it's unnecessary. It's totally out of character with the other 99.9% of shit posted in this thread. Go ahead and start a blood and guts thread if you want, and we'll see how long it's tolerated.

It's not a picture of a guy cutting his dick off, it's a dude with his head comically stuck in the back of a truck. It's not that bad (and despite what others may say, that is exactly the point); you have to draw the line somewhere, but this dead motorcyclist definitely isn't it.

I agree, that picture is nothing... and in a morbid way, it's kind of funny. I'm just talking about not opening the flood gates and allowing pics of train wreck carcasses or IED victims with their entrails sticking to their reeboks, to become commonplace in this thread.

*2 posts without a pic... I'll rectify that:

That's my biggest concern as well. While that picture is hardly as bad as many that could be posted it opens it up to using your own discretion.. and as we have seen before that is a colossal failure. Whats offensive to some is just a trifle to others. You have to have a line and keep it and personally I think 'no dead people' is a good line to draw in the sand.
