I understand what your saying and it has merit but the end result is still you can't prove your statment any more then they can.

sure you can disprove some religions but that in no way covers ALL possible god like entities wouldn't you agree? For to be able to make a blanket statment that it is not possible for any god or gods to exist of any sort well you would kind of have to know everything right?


I.E. I can say I see a purple pink unicorn that is god. I may not be able to prove it but that does not make it false. And yes while that may make me look crazy, crazy also does not prove something false. And yes also while there may not be any reason to believe in my purple pink unicorn that again does not make it false.

any major religion is false. if you get into the more obscure stuff then...well that's just pointless it seems. any lunatic can create some craziness in their minds, but that doesn't mean we should consider it a potential legitimate god.

the point about atheism from my point of view is that it's provable that religions are false. There's no legitimate source for a concept of god outside of what we know to be false. that's why it's a bit disingenuous to say atheism is a belief.

It's because they've been sold into thinking that the Enlightenment is besieged by a vast wave of ignorance. They think there's a concerted effort on the part of people who believe in an invisible old jew in the sky to smother reason and the scientific method forever. They think this way because there are charlatans who have built their careers fabricating this crisis. Folks who discovered that fear and distrust sell books and fill lecture halls and have made their livelihoods exploiting both.

Sadly the truth today is this: You either believe the Universe-Creation theory proposed by some Jewish Priest thousands of years ago, or you believe the Universe-Creation theory proposed by a Catholic Priest in 1931. Either way, you're believing a priest. Go Atheism.
