As cool as these bikes are (and I totally respect the work that goes into them).. the fact remains that they are well, still motorcycles.

Which means in the real world - you are going up against idiot drivers - distracted mothers in their hulking SUVs and of course the elements, etc.

So yeah - you may look cool in your 120 db producing monster....

but practically speaking..... you hit ANYTHING and you are quite literally puree.

Biggest reason I won't get a bike is you would have to have 2 vehicles here and the bike would be unusable for half the year.

Riding a motorcycle itself can be dangerous depending upon your skill, the machine, and the road itself. Good riders never have issues with any of the above if they have experience and don't drive like a maniac. However, the biggest problem, and why I no longer have much desire to ride is that other drivers are stupid and increase my risk tremendously regardless of my caution and defensive driving abilities. There are many idiot riders as well, don't get me wrong. But for me the biggest issue is the other traffic on the road.

It seems like its really really really hard to get a good volley going. I watched a few vids on youtube and never saw more than 2 returns before someone got a point.

That's the worst possible video to display the awesomeness of the sport. Show some long and insane volleys, not just 2 kicks with triple replay slow motion action for 2+ minutes.
