Isn't he right though, James? The recoil force would be determined by the amount of gunpowder and the heavier the gun, the longer the barrel and bigger the bullet mitigate that force?

Heavier gun = less recoil in general. But I think there wont be any doubt that you're firing a hand-held cannon when you pull the trigger of that thing.

Also have to take into consideration the fact that gun powder today and rounds are much much more efficient/powerful for the size. Still would be quite crazy to shoot, if it ever even did.

How recoil affects you largely depends on what you're used to. We once had a Sergeant fire a G3 and it broke his collar bone because every single rifle he ever fired was reloading with gas whereas the G3 reloads through the recoil

Given the amount of metal in the gun, I believe it would be possible to actually fire it without the gun flying off your hand.

However, you talk of a lot of recoil going above the line of the hands holding it. The fucker is going to jump pretty damn bad. Altough it won't just fly off at 500fps due to it's sheer weight, the rotational kick is going to be a bitch to deal with.

Second, it's a lot of weight in front of your hands. To aim and fire that thing is going to be about as precise as trying to shoot with a rifle while standing and holding it only with one hand.

Unless you're hunting elephants within 6 feet of distance, the thing is pretty damn useless.

I don't believe that gun is real anyway.
