I think the things in the picture are the daddy long leg spider variant. As for what daddy long leg is a spider and what is not I found this on Wikipedia:

Those in the picture are harvestmen, they are not spiders. They are arachnids though. Just like a scorpion is an arachnid but not a spider, as are mites.

Not that it matters, but I read years ago that "daddy longlegs" actually have some of the most potent (deadly to man) poison of all arachnids. However, their pincers are far too small to puncture human skin, so they pose no real threat. I recently saw the same thing mentioned on Animal Planets "Most Extreme - poisons" (I think it was?) or possibly some other nature show they aired.

.. like I said, it's kind of pointless to mention, but interesting to know. Especially since I am arachniphobic and was never really intimidated by them.. though seeing a few hundred like that would certainly get me running.

I heard somewhere that daddy long legs venom is deadlier than black widows.. but that their teeth can't pierce our skin so we're safe....

They have some of the most poisonous venom in the spider world.
