Sigh, that's not the point of the article. The switch in diets has lead to the increased bust and waist sizes. When they consume dairy based diets the additional weight is added to those two areas. They're not becoming fat hogs, they're getting bigger in just those areas.

Then you have cultural changes overall and instead of the traditional small, aesthetically pleasing Japanese meal you get...happy meals. And etc. Assuming you're a typical American, have you ever tried to eat dinner in Japanese proportions? You want to eat several times that.

Malnutrition results in smaller people. Cultural eating habits leaning away from prudence and towards indulgence leads to bigger people. And yes, ass/tit fat as well as muscle start showing up in greater quantities =)
