+268 Internets | I think this has come up before, but how do people eat baked beans for breakfast? I saw that in Australia and I still don't see the appeal /shrug. And the entire breakfast...looks about as appetizing as that cold congee shit they serve on flights. Does get props for meat quantity though. ![]()

| I disagree, that breakfast looks fucking awesome. Americans have really shitty taste for breakfast for some reason. ie

The original pic, the bacon didn't look all that done, eggs looked funky, and the beans... I'd eat it, but I dunno. Kinda hard to find pics of what I grew up eating, pretty much just fried potatoes, bacon, ham, sausage, eggs and maybe some sort of hash and the occasional biscuits and gravy. And that's not counting being forced to eat sauerkraut and a random assortment of mystery meats by the grandparents. The second pic doesn't look too dissimilar, from what we have here, that's from a place in Melbourne. Welcome to The Pancake Parlour! One place I found locally while working on the Missouri side, was The Big Biscuit --- Serving Breakfast & Lunch it's pretty good, but the portions are fucking enormous. I ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy and nearly choked when I saw them bring it out. IMO if there is any reason why so many Americans are overweight, it isn't always that the food is so bad (hell a lot of food has always been bad through the generations), it's that people are eating enough to feed 2-3 people. It was still damn good though.

| I fucking love English Breakfast! The year I spent in England was the greatest year of my life simply because I got to eat English Breakfast all the time. What kind of sausage is in an English Breakfast? I've never come across anything like it here in the states, but I would love to find some--even if I have to order it online!

It should be noted, blood sausage comes in a variety of ways and types. Sometimes called black pudding, simply because the method of making it is similar, just in another form. But, see if you can get your hands on some to recreate your English Breakfast. | |

| Firstly, I find it hilarious from our side of the ponds view that someone said baked beans for breakfast is pretty much plain wrong and then talks about eating biscuits and gravy for the same meal. Anyone asking for gravy over here with brekkie would be stared at like a lunatic I suspect what you call a biscuit isn't what we would though, 2nd pic is an example of biscuits to us that we'd typically eat whilst enjoying a nice cup of Earl Gray, hot! I had a look at the site Erronius linked but couldnt see anything on the menu pictures that looked like biscuit and gravy, anyone want to provide an example of aforesaid delicacy? The black pudding pic doesnt look very black pudding-y, looks more like first pic :
