btw.. the Pizza up the street at Sallys is ALMOST as good.. especially the fresh tomato pie, but only in the summer and fall.

I mean, pizza is like sex: even when it's bad, it's good. But you know a good pizza when you have one. So there is a local place that makes the bestfuckinpizza I've ever had. Their 'special' is epic, pic below. Yes, thin cut sausage, pepperoni, green/red peppers, onion and mushroom. Good food rules apply here - the messier it looks the better it tastes.

I'm spoiled living on Long Island, New York... (Pizza Capitol of the world IMO) Theres a pizzaria on every other corner and if you dont make an amazing pie, you dont last a month. The same applies for Bagel stores.
I've had pizza all over the country (including chicago) and just wish I could share a slice of any of my hometown pies with you all. It can be be a life changing event

And by "hometown pie", I don't mean pizza hut etc.
And yes, in NY it's called a "pie" .

.. ofcourse it can always be said that whatever pizza you grow up with is also the best.

Well you can walk anywhere in any of the towns and find a pizzeria that makes better and cheaper pies than any of those aforementioned places.

Grew up on long island - name me some decent places? There's a place by best buy in bayshore off sunrise highway thats amazing. That's about all I can think of as far as exceptional pizza out here (you're right, every corner has good pizza and bagels)
