It's all over, so I didn't feel this needed its own thread... But my roommate wanted a ride up to salt lake this morning, as he was apparently entering a modeling contestblahblahblah. I say sure, whatever. We get up there and I see the sign: Xpose. I think, hmm, that sounds familiar.

It's the modeling agency behind the competition. We go in, he eventually heads back into the building and I stay up front with my phone. The video I took isn't of anything consequential... just a few models/receptionists talking about mormons/marriage or something. But after a while, I decide I couldn't be in this position without taking an opportunity. So I strike up a conversation.

Me: "So... you guys had a contest a couple weeks ago, with 1001.something radio station, right?"

Receptionist girl: "Oh yeah, the coed cuties!"

Me: "Did you ever see the numbers for those polls?"

Receptionist guy: "You mean like the bracket percentages?"

Me: "No, like the actual numbers of how many people voted."

Me: "Cause uh... I visit a website where we were 'persuaded' to make one of the girls win. It kinda became a cheater vs. bigger cheater thing. I suspect the numbers were in the millions. At one point, someone did the math on the percentages and Brooke was getting something like 100 votes per second."

There's a pause here as both of them stare at me with their mouths wide open.

Me: "Yeah, we were a bit pissed off, seeing as how the competition ended 20 minutes after that Brooke chick took the lead from our girl on some random time frame".

The girl says a few things during the conversation, mentioning a rumor that Tasha got kicked out of the competition. The guy said that he wanted Brooke to win, the girl wanted Ashlee to win, but said, "If Brooke was cheating that bad, Ashlee must have been too!". "Yeah.... ..... That was us. We were pretty pissed about Brooke winning that round, so we kinda got revenge."

Receptionist girl: "We got like 50 people calling in complaining about that competition, but the radio station was handling the competition."

Me: "Yeah, that was us too."

Receptionist girl: "The Brooke girl called in and complained too, saying something about Tasha, I dunno." At which point I laughed.

Anyway, I didn't do anything particularly funny, since my roommate was there getting into a competition with them, but I thought I'd share my morning.
