Is this guy even famous? Absolutely surreal. I've never seen any pro BMX'er or any one for that matter do anything close to that. I'd like to see Dave Mirra what he does.

That move off the tree was a Flair. Dave Mirra has done it thousands of times.

It's still completely awesome the way he did it=)

Yeah on a BMX bike on a vert ramp. Not off a tree on a full size mountain bike.

I just can't understand how he can just thrust a full sized mountain bike, from still, to 10 feet away. I guess that's why I'm a programmer.

Its not really a full sized "mountain bike." Its a trial bike. The frames weigh about 5lbs, and it doesnt have nearly the all the components of a traditional mountain bike or a BMX bike. BMX bikes are made for the abuse of jumping, landing and falling. You can see how after he fell in the beginning of the video, he had to bend something back on his bike.

Ive seen guys do stuff like that on trial motorcycles. Sure hes good, but its not that impressive.

What about in the video where he wedges himself off the ground between a wall and a bike rack, then hops from his front wheel on the rack with back wheel on the wall to back wheel on the rack, and then manages to hop 3 bike racks?

That shit blew my mind.

Some trial bikes have seats, some don't. I am just about to watch the video so I can't comment on this guy in particular, but I've seen some amazing shit done on trial bikes in the past. There was a show called "Drop In" on Canadian TV, most of which was downhilling and "West Coast" type stuff, but there was one dude with blonde dreadlocks that only did trials and he was pretty impressive, and that was 5+ years ago.

edit: Yeah, that was pretty impressive. Not mind blowing, but if you'd never seen trials riders before I could see how it would be. It's amazing how so many "extreme" type sports continue to progress so fast, what was only capable by top performers in their sports one year is commonplace and routine a year or two later. Same shit goes on in snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding etc.
