Meh, I've been around. Most of the homeless people that stay in major cities, are homeless because they chose to stay in those major cities, of course some hobo isn't going to get a job flipping burgers and be able to afford any sort of shelter in NYC. But christ, if you were to walk a few miles out, it could easily be done, They stay in the cities because of the dense population of other hobos and the poor saps like screamfeeder who donate their time to them. Sit there begging for change, so they can get some cigs, alcohol, or drugs. There's a reason you dont see ambitious homeless people, because if you attempt to make a life for yourself, it's not too difficult to get started.

When a person who is homeless, has ambition, and thinks to themselves, I don't want to be a fucking smelly bum for the rest of my life, they go and do something about it. When a worthless druggie, addict, or someone who just doesn't plain care is homeless... well if you cant figure it out by yourself by now you really are just that full of bullshit.

Like I said before, some people do actually need help, and are mentally disabled, or disabled in some way shape or form to the point where they'd have difficulty making a proper living for themselves, but there's plans / people / organizations out there to help said type of people. Whether they chose to take the opportunities put in front of them, or just ignore them and go on with their everyday hoboesk lifestyle is what makes them either worthless or not. Crazies can have ambitions aswell. But those types of people, are by far the minority of the bunch good sir.

You'd think since you have the internet and obviously feel strongly about a certain issue, you'd attempt to educate yourself on it before expressing your opinion. But that's not what the internet is about. The internet is about being able to say whatever you feel like without fear of any repercussions. And that's fine. But since you feel so strongly about it, I would suggest you at least attempt to read up about homelessness from the most basic of sources, Wikipedia Homelessness in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Perhaps, then, you can do further research into sociological studies on homelessness to discover the major causes of it and possible solutions to lessening homelessness.

You probably just wanted to vent your anger about them, though. And when you try to make statements that only have anger to back them, then you can expect to be called stupid. In fact, your own personal experience, which you value so highly as a source of information on how the homeless really are, is tainted with emotion and personal involvement. That makes it even less reliable than a person who has no personal experience with the homeless, but does their research because they have only objective data to form their opinion, no emotion. So rage on, bro, but maybe you should look at educating yourself before you start worrying about the homeless.
