It's not a pic, but I LOL'd.

Twelve priests were about to be ordained. The final test was for them to line up in a straight row, totally naked, in a garden while a sexy, beautiful, big breasted, nude model danced before them.

Each priest had a small bell attached to his weenie and they were told that
anyone whose bell rang when she danced in front of them would not be ordained because he had not reached a state of spiritual purity.

The beautiful model danced before the first candidate, with no reaction. She
proceeded down the line with the same response from all the priests until she got to the final priest, Carlos.

Poor Carlos. As she danced, his bell began to ring so loudly that if flew off,
clattering across the ground and laid to rest in nearby foliage.

Embarrassed, Carlos quickly scrambled to where the bell came to rest and bent over to pick it up.

Then all the other bells started to ring....

i dont know what it is but, anyone with anything more then a normal piercing i feel a deep hate for them. same goes for tattoos. it is like the mac guy in the commercials. you just hate him for being this arrogant prick who elevates himself over you just because they are different.

The rest of them just look like uncreative posers. Especially the first and last one that scream, "Look at the shit I can put in my face"

From what I can tell you're the only one "elevating himself over people."

People who get heavily pierced or tattooed certainly don't do it because it makes their life any easier, and while they might get a certain amount of props or appreciation from within the body mod community the majority of everyone else will be a prick to them because of stereotyping and the general unwillingness of most people to form their own conclusions on an individual basis.

It's not like they got all pierced or inked just to rub it in your face or something. We all know that anyone willing to invest the money and time and endure the pain and "achieve" what they have. Virtually none of them view it like some sort of medal to flash around. Hell, most of them have to go around covering shit just to keep from getting harassed by insecure overly-conservative pricks.

Tuco is being a bit overbearing but really, the first and last guy in that post deserve no such respect. They look like shit and anyone with a healthy sense of asthetics should regard them as irresponsible and mentally disordered. I have been a part of the body mod community, I have had enough facial ringwork to be sterotyped and gawked at, ten years ago when it was even less common than it is now to see people with odd piercings and stretched lobes. But there is nothing redeeming about that hapazard collection of shit in someone's face. It only has shock and extremism value, maybe it can be appreciated in extremely marginal subcultures but that very fact goes to show that they are doing it simply because it alienates them and sets them apart, just like Tuco said. To jab that much shit through your skin with no rhyme or reason is purely an act of attention seeking and a mark of defiance for the sake of doing it. There is no reason to take the "sacrifices" such behavior entails into account when those very sacrifices are a large part of the motivation behind the act in the first place.

Agreed. I have a number of piercings and mods, but I like to keep it all simple and in equilibrium. That excessive piercing bullshit goes beyond self-expression and into attention whoring. Gives modders a bad name. Probably makes me sicker than a non-modder too.
