LotR was quite obviously geared towards the typical 18-35 male demographic yet limits the action scenes to very bland boring skirmishes. Very few special effects; we saw Gandalf cast what, 2 spells? Feats of super-human strength? Berserking warrior going on a rampage? Crouching Tiger style acrobatics? Nope, just regular mortals with regular strength doing regular normal boring battles. I repeat, I fell asleep during such a scene.

So please, continue with the neg's while you jack off to 10 hours of dry fantasy drivel whose only purpose for dialog is to further explain the ridiculous and absurd intricacies of this ridiculous and absurd narrative. I genuinely hate resorting to the ad hominem level but the fact so many people from a group of what I had always thought was a reasonably intelligent (even if brash, cocky, or egotistical) crowd pine over this cinematic cesspool really saddens me.
