+11 Internets | I just took this picture yesterday. I was driving down a street on the way towards a somewhat mid-sized city called Grand Prairie in Texas. It is not as developed as most of the area near Dallas but still populated enough that there aren't unpaved streets or anything else that comes rural areas. Anyway, my phone is a GPS so it is pretty difficult for me to get lost. I managed to do so when I took a wrong turn and found out the road I was on apparently didn't exist according to my GPS. Not to mention it lost my current location and couldn't find it a few minutes earlier on the previous road. It was a pretty small single lane paved (but shitty) country road. I was looking for somewhere I could turn around in a truck without having to go off road into these little irrigation ditches or whatever the hell they are called on the side of the road. Well, I made down further and saw a turn into another road which was a little bigger. It was completely surrounded by trees and not easily visible, but I saw a building further down that I could use to turn around. As I came toward that building, there was a giant clearing that fit other small houses around it. There were abandoned tractors, rusted over sheds falling apart, rusted school buses without wheels, and a playground in terrible shape. It was surreal. Then, there was this building and I noticed it was in much better shape than any of the surrounding ones. As I pulled up, I snapped this picture because the symbol reminded me of something. I had to look it up on wikipedia, but yes, I realize this was a Freemasons sign. I was going to take another picture when a bunch of people started filing out of the building and I didn't want to look like some weird conspiracy theorist taking pictures of them so I drove off. Anyway, it was just fucking weird how it was in the middle of nowhere and the only way you could really find it was to accidentally stumble across it getting lost. +3 Internets | I see freemasons around here all the time. Theres really nothing secret about them. I have a few customers that are actually Freemasons. They have stickers on their trucks to show it. Have you ever seen a building with this symbol on it though? I wouldnt fuck with these guys. |
