When I'm bored sometimes I rename nearby unsecured Wireless routers. It is pretty easy:

- connect to open wireless

- browse to the admin login, usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1

- see what kind of router it is on the login page

- google search "router name password" e.g. "NETGEAR WGT624 password" or "Linksys WRT54g password" and you'll find the default password. Just about everyone that has open wireless isn't smart enough to change the password.

- usually I don't change the password though, because that would be really mean

Haha.. I do this too sometimes. Anytime a new network pops up. I live in an apt. so it's quite frequent.
