The comment on cops stands in most cases, although you wouldn't be able to carry them into coffee shops, at least out in the open. They weren't cool with it at the majority of the coffee shops when it was legal, so I doubt much has changed now that they're illegal.

Oh, and if you're ever in Amsterdam, go to: The Dampkring (where they filmed Ocean's 12), and stay away from "The Other Side" (gay coffee shop).

I went literally like 2 weeks ago and shrooms, amongst other things, we're quite advertised and sold in smart shops and some smart shops/coffee shops. I did however expect them to not be sold because I read somewhere that they were trying to pass a bill making them "illegal" or something, but then again I also was told that they were trying to pass a bill to close most smart shops and coffeeshops. So...

Psilocybine and psilocine are on the first list of the Opium laws in the Netherlands, which means they're being seen as harddrugs, as well as anything containing these substances. Dried mushrooms and mushrooms being grown to be dried and sold as drugs are therefor being considered part of this.

Producing, selling and owning harddrugs is considered illegal, owning a small amount however usually doesn't get any priority in persecution and is usually allowed.

Dutch opium laws distinguish dried and "fresh" mushrooms. At the end of 2007 it has been "announced" that selling fresh mushrooms will also become illegal, but that's about it.

Like last european championship football after we annihilated Italy and before the game vs France, around 80.000 dutch people travelled to Bern Switzerland to party...(i know it's not a pic but still pretty much a must see to believe...

Did you goto Wok 2 Walk in Amsterdam? I fucking love the noodles in that place. It's right near the leidesplein (sp?) which is also where my favourite coffee shop is, the bulldog thats down in the basement. Awesome times in the Dam.
