That's actually a good point, and like I said, I don't intend to read or moderate this thread. It's too much for me to handle or deal with, and clearly I'm not the right person for the job. Having me moderate this thread would be like having a penguin moderate a thread about the Sahara desert.

So hopefully I can make this someone else's problem. Maybe Tuco's? Heh. At any rate, as I asked before, I'll ask again: just please try to use some common decency. We have a lot of game-industry professionals reading these boards, and our credibility takes a hit every time one of them stumbles upon something like the strapon pic.

In re the pic you just posted: I don't even know what to say. I'm basically speechless. I mean, something like that pic would never have even occurred to me as ever having been possible. I don't get it whatsoever, and frankly, it scares me more than a little bit. All the more reason why I don't want to be involved here, and will not be (unless things get ridiculously out of hand).

I'm not sure I follow your analogy, but it's better to think of the mods here as unpaid volunteers, drawn from a community of board-users and gamers like yourself, who are often overburdened by having to read hundreds of threads a day. It's not an easy job, and clearly, not everyone is able to get to everything all the time. It's also a relatively "damned if you do, damned if you don't" line of work: if you don't moderate at all, the quality of the board suffers, but if you do moderate, you're going to piss people off. Moderating is about tough choices, and seldom about popular choices. The tough choice I'm making here is ultimately to keep my hands out of this thread and delegate that responsibility to someone who is better suited for it.

As for the 4chan, I'm not browsing that one either but I think ANYTHING goes there, including pictures from rotten.com I'm damn sure a drawing isn't as bad as that.

What about this one, it has no blood, no violence, no shit but it is EXTREMLY strange. I don't think anyone here (besides you?) would think this picture should not be in this thread.

I prefer to think you're a dumbass. Moderators do, believe it or not, serve a necessary purpose if for no other reason than to keep the board up and running by keeping the CP out. Even 4Chan has mods and they frequently and arbitrarily ban and delete posts as they so choose. Millie isn't exactly being an ass here. Not to say I really believe in censorship beyond keeping CP out in a thread like this, but she makes a good point.

Look, at the end of the day, my job is to keep this board relatively safe and fun for casual gamers, hardcore gamers, industry professionals, my guild's members, and folks like you. That's a tough balancing act, in which any given decision slightly alienates one group and slightly pleases another group.

At the end of the day, I think I give you guys a lot of leeway, and I intend to keep giving you a lot of leeway. I realize that, no matter what I do, not everyone is going to agree with me on that point. But that's my life, I guess. Like I said, "damned if you do, damned if you don't."

At any rate, carry on. I've sent Tuco a PM asking if could please check up on this thread every now and then just to make sure nothing's getting egregiously over the top. But I don't really anticipate much change, if any, to the way of life here.
