This video of a Ray Kurtsweil lecture should explain it. It's part of his argument for the enevitability of a coming singularity in human development.

He asked some of the greatest minds of the day and the most respected institutions to plot in the most important developments of human history. As you can see by this chart, they don't agree on the exact times but their choices all follow the same exponential curve.

His primary claim is that human technological evolution is not a linear process but an exponential one. Great leaps of knowledge take less and less time to accomplish. It took thousands of years to develop the printing press, then hundreds of years to develop the computer, then only a few decades for the microchips, the internet etc.

If he is right this trend will at a point in the near future lead to -- well watch the video, it's fascinating.

I couldnt find anything for Mapuka but found a bunch of videos and a wikipedia for Mapouka. It seems to be more of a dance and the video posted seems to be just a couple dudes dry humping a bunch of chicks.

Not to derail this thread, but why the fuck is Quineloe not banned? I've never seen him contribute anything other than a fuckin' headache to this forum.

My guess is that if you're gonna let Makata destroy every single thread relating to PvP or MMO's that you can't really claim the moral high ground on anything.
