Elder's book compared news programs from the four major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX). He found that on issues sensitive to the right/left, every network had pro-left news pieces far in abundance of pro-right or neutral.

In other words, the networks played pro affirmative action pieces with few anti affirmative action commentators or pieces. More pro gun control pieces, more pro welfare pieces, more pro environmentalism pieces, etc. The only exception was Fox, who's ratio wasn't as bad, but still very left leaning.

Furthermore, it's not only what the news programs choose to cover, it's what they don't. Not to write a novel like Wrathcaster, but the news networks ignore stories which would not support the leftist viewpoint, such as incidents of black racism, studies finding that welfare promotes poverty, findings that women actually earn the same as men in the same jobs with the same education, etc.

It's not even a white vs black thing which is all anyone concentrates on; the small issue.

The issue is being a judgemental person.

Whereas you see a White person and think "dork," or a black person and think "delinquent," spanish person and think "immigrant," or an asian person and think "comptuer nerd."

It's when you see someone fat and think "What a lazy fuck," or a 90 pound guy and think "wimp," or a disfugred person and say "freak."

You have *no* clue about these peoples lives, what hey've been through, the circumstances your seeing them in, whats going on in their lives at this moment. Fact of the matter is theres lots of tiems when you leave your bubble of security and have to be in a new situation and people are doing it to you. Fact is, the racist people are the sheletered ones who havent had to experience the real world, or the ones who aren't intelligent enough to attach blame to where it belongs and decide to take the shortcut and blame problems on a race, religion or creed.

Look at yourself in the mirror or next time your in an uncomfortable position or have done something you know is wrong and think about the sterotypes your are prepetuating and how hipocrital you are.
