Those little guys probably dance better then %80 of the human population ;P Insane amount of engineering involved. I heard they're working on life sized ones as well.

That was fucking incredible and some scary foreshadowing of what the future may hold for humanity. I've never seen actual robots move so fluidly.

It's kind of strange to see a movie like AI and then realize that that movie may not be too far off the mark of how we may be living our lives one day.

Have any other links about those bots? I bet they're using a ton of the new nanotech mechanisms that are in development.

Why dont the geniuses at sony put the people who make this shit on the eq dev team. Maybe then we would get something new and innovative.

They can also jog, but not very fast. The signifigance of a robot jogging is the fact that it means both feet must be off the ground at the same time, if even for a fraction of a second. Takes some pretty sophisticated programming and gyroscope technology.

Check out the tech page. The little guy actually DOES pick himself up. If he senses he is about to fall, he even puts out his arms and adjusts his body to help brace the impact. Fucking insane.

we'll probably be using projectile weapons for a long time. this doesn't mean a robot with near 100% accuracy and a gun can't fuck people up

If they ever turn against us, I hope they design their assassins to look like giant bodybuilders with Austrian accents. That'll surely keep them from standing out in crowds, and we'll never be able to tell who they are.
