Posting obits is just too weird now. I don't want this girl to be in intense pain or anguish if she should ever see this thread. She obviously loved and misses her Dad as I know most of us would/will when our fathers' pass on (I know I will be beside myself with sorrow along with my sisters when my Dad dies).

Odds are she's wanting to make a buck like anyone else. She's Canadian so there's not the American cultural Christian morality to get in her way, and I wonder if this isn't a smart economic move as in a pro socialist economy like Canada you're going to get income taxed like a muther fucker.

Also, if Dad hadn't died so early in her life she may have found another avenue. But I agree that she probably had a very liberal upbringing to allow her to feel comfortable being a camwhore. Depending on where you stand that's either good or bad.

My whole issue here is that I think we are kicking a girl when she's down by posting personal stuff. That's a myth, when you account for things like private health insurance and the higher cost of post-secondary education and a whole shitload of other things, it's more or less of a saw-off between Canada and the US. And depending on what province you live in, taxes can actually be lower than most US States (well, that's just Alberta, we have oil woo). Course, she lives in BC, and yes, she probably is being taxed to death, but more from sales tax than anything (yay for being taxed on taxed income). In Canada, if you have a low income, chances are you pay 10-15% income tax, and middle class maybe 20-25%. It's when you start making over 60 grand a year that they start to really nail you with tax rates around 35-45% (can't remember the exact brackets atm).

So let me get this straight, living in Canada -----> liberal upbringing -----> camwhore. That's some awesome logic, coming from someone who lives in the country that more or less invented and perfected modern pornography.

As far as this being creepy or mean-spirited or whatever, frankly I don't much care either way. I think a lot of people are overly cruel about the hoof thing, but as others have said, she's in a business where her image is everything, and missing 3 digits is at the least somewhat ironic and amusing. I don't think that there's much left to be done here, anyway, short of someone meeting her in RL and doing something to her (I'll keep an eye out in March when I am in Victoria for her!).

Also, the other irony is that the guy who supposedly chopped off her toes in the first place with a lawnmower is now dead, and who knows, that may have had an effect on her chosen career. Strange how things work out!
