Make a character, let it take you to handle selection, CANCEL at handle selection, select the char you just made.

If you don't like the server, delete and repeat.

Saves you a year of the movie

Unfortuantely, even this can be a process of frustration. My friend spent 3 hours of creating/deleting and never getting the desired server. I think some servers are just totally removed from the possible list if it's over a certain population count.
