Best Raiding Game, Wow? Arguable...it's definitly has more complex encounters then lets say eq and could understand that but although people talk mad shit about the "immersiveness"...I can honestly say that eq raiding for me was the best. Reason:It felt like I was the one killing Fennin vs. feeling like someone playing a toon that was killing Onxyia. not so oddly enough it doesn't give me the same adrenaline boost I was so addicted to.

I dont even think WoW's downfall will be from Blizzards hands. I believe there will be a point in time when there are so many WoW clones out there that no one is going to want to fucking play anything remotely close to WoW..I've been passed that point. Shit, I'd rather play on the WoW emulator thats pretty much up to date with the latest xpac for free then give money to those fucking lazy ass WoW clone developers..this also holds true with Blizzard and their 20 month+ xpac release calander.

The next big evolution in fantasy MMOs will borrow heavily from EvE: - Classless; passive skill advancement, no limit to career options. - Equipment; selects skills in use, equalizing old and new players. - Economy; regional complexity in which players can sink or swim. - Sandbox; the ability of players to alter the world in which they play. - Population; large populations on few servers. Reputations matter. ...and then they need to integrate meaningful PvE along with the fantasy staples most would expect to find in a fantasy MMO ( dwarves, elves, etc. ). The biggest change, though, is a move away from increasingly powerful items as a measure of your success in a game to achievements within the sandbox. Fostering an environment where getting a specific drop is less important than collectively holding some resource hub with your guild (as an example) is important to the growth of the genre.

We've got to get the now-gen right before we work on next-gen. Releasing non-Bliz games in a finished state would be a step in the right direction. I have no faith in this genre moving forward until this happens.
