New SK item revamp

I've been recently blessed with the knowledge of an increase to a particular SK item. I've been told this item now takes a serious amount of a mobs mana, and a few hp's and gives them back to the sk. Now, the SK that I spoke to this about told me that last night, he was able to solo mobs like never before. He said that he never got below 50% mana using this newly revised item. What does the rest of the community think about this? I can't believe mod rods got nerfed, but now SK's get a solo mana sieve item that basically gives them endless mana? I give this question to the world and await the replies.

Edit: Ok, I figured I would help you out a bit and give you some advice. If you want something to be addressed on this board, you can't just blatently conceal the identity of the item, cause you will only get flamed and no one will give a damn. But if you say X weapon exists with X proc and maybe post the Lucy details of the proc, people just "might" start conversing about it.

However, you're posting as if you're only jealous and want to get your hands on said item as soon as possible without fear of getting it nerfed, but as long as you don't have one, you want to ruin it for the people who do. Regardless of your intent, that's how it's going to be percieved with your unknown reasoning for hiding the items identity.

Soloers always have different dynamics than raiders and the one does not equate or relate to the other in general so dont worry about it too much really.

He's proboblly talking about mental corruption, which was a useless forgotten spell at the end of the SK spellbook. It used to be a selfbuff which added a manadrain procc of 30 - 50 mana or so. It also didn't stack with shroud of death/chaos, ie pretty useless.

Got an upgrade last patch and now does 100 DD, 100 manadrain which is a pretty good alternative to shroud of death when you're not tanking/doing ae mobs, as it should be. Also stacks with SA, but only the DD part.

It isn't really a manadrain exactly. It doesn't take any mana from the monster but it gives you 100mana anytime the proc lands.

And there is nothing wrong with this spell. This guy that said he could solo non stop with it is probably still killing shrooms or toilers. I could do that constantly without that spell.

I wasn't hiding an items name, or trying to stir shit up, I'm a shaman, not an sk. I explained what I had heard on this site as I heard it. I did not receive the name if the item. The last two posts seem to describe what my buddy was talking about. 100mana with a dd is still pretty impressive. I have talked with him last night and he has been soloing in The Deep for two days now. He says the proc on this thing goes off every 2nd or third time. He still claims that he can't drop below 50% mana no matter how much shit he tosses out at the mobs. I tend to believe him. Maybe I'm a fool? Not trying to stir it up though, not trying to get flamed, just trying to get some opinions about an upgrade that was put in. I figured an UBER guild board would be a good place to find out about UBER items. Thanks
