+3 Internets | This sounds like fun. What class do you need (or if you are well rounded already, what class can tear it up in PVP so Im not gimped in the off hours leveling)? Haven't played EQ in a long time, but this seems like a blast. |

| if this torrent ever finishes I'll roll up a necro to rape face with... god, whirl till you hurl... I remember the first time I ever had that cast on my paladin and thought the game glitched/broke and rebooted my comp cause it wouldn't stop, so many funny novelties in the game back then |

| Real old school TZ PvP over dragons usually consisted of one side having dragons/giants trained on them by the other. There weren't that many real PvP fights for the dragons in the early days. The few that did occur consisted usually of a much better organised evil team rolling over the good team in a couple of minutes. As a day 1 TZer and one of the first 50s on the server though that video definitely brought back some fond memories. |

Planar fights, however, were always loads of fun. P.S. Sux.

| At the time it just seemed more entertaining to train Nagafen on them while they were buffing for another attempt, rather than wait for them to actually attempt it. It's a much more effective way of breaking their will when they keep being wiped without getting to see his health bar move. Admittedly it didn't occur very many times, the good team on TZ was so disorganised I only remember less than half a dozen dragon attempts by them pre kunark. The planes were another matter. PoH in particular had some sensational port in room fights. I've never seen a raid team assembled faster or more efficiently than team evil did whenever we noticed the goodies had zoned into hate. I can second the peoples call who've mentioned how strong enc/mag combo is in EQ classic in both PvE and PvP. That was what my friend & I rolled and we had somewhat of a monopoly on SMR/SSOY in the early days until we got bored of farming them. |

| We bawlin boi! | There was nothing ever remotely close to the power of the necro class that launched at release.

+109 Internets | Ok, gonna try to address some of this stuff: FFA pvp, but capped at 10 levels. Full coin loot, no item loot. No XP lost to a player death. Proper only at the moment, planes Soon(TM). Kunark after that, but then I imagine it will be quite some time before Velious, as they didn't even have that on the server before the wipe for progression. PVE is across-the-board quite a bit easier. Very low aggro radius, no huge trains because mobs just path directly to you auto-follow style(even going through walls) instead of doing cracked out shit and pissing a bunch of others off as happened often in EQ(this also means there's no real pathing sploits to speak of ). Kunark supposedly to be opened upon the deaths of Cazic, Inno, and Eye of Veeshan(!!!).To the guy who mentioned the old EQ xp grind, this server is 6x and there are druids/mages/clerics available to help you guys level. 50 for a whole group in one day is pretty doable with some PL. That being said, it's a lot more fun to do it the normal way. PLing won't happen until tomorrow afternoon/evening. About classes - A few things to know about this server that may help you decide. -Fear and charm do not work on players. -MR/FR/CR/etc all work about like you remember in general, but stuns in particular are very hard to resist. It wouldn't be all that unlikely to get a stun off on a bard 10 levels higher than you with 250+MR, for example. -Int casters tend to get killed really fast. Remember, this is early, HP and resists on casters suck ass before end-game Velious. -Melee does a lot more damage than you think it does. Tyen absolutely rapes people on his paladin with a Mith 2h. -Monks pretty much suck at pvp until Kunark, then they dominate with the Tstaff. -Necros seem lame. Maybe it's just Keystone. -Mez and whirl are crazy OP. And say your buddy gets mezzed, if he's in your guild, you two have to duel before you can hit him to break it. And folks: Rubicite is indeed dropping in cazic, the EE drops manastones, specters drop the box, drelzna drops jboots, and the old guise is in. For now, anyway.
