Think it's just because the server is down. I was hoping to get started on my character today too.

Everytime the login server goes down the game server needs to be restarted. So the login is up and now we just have to wait for someone to restart the game server.

So I'm a newb at this whole pirating software dealio -- any help with getting EQ up and running would be incredibly appreciated, and will result in +internets for you.

I DLed Titanium, and here's what I'm staring at right now. Pretend I know nothing about mounting isos and all those shenanigans:

It's been a while since I've installed EQ, but try firing up Daemon Tools and load either CD1.cue or CD1.ccd I can't remember but one of them should start installing the game for you immediately.

On a different note, anyone know why the new models aren't working for me? I have them all turned in on the options screen (and I checked my eqclient.ini to make sure they were all =TRUE) but when I log in it's the old models.

Yeah just used daemon tools lite. Then mount the img with it and install.

Thanks -- all installed. Now for my next problem: the shortcut. The Wiki says:

Entering in C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe and running through the shortcut gives me a box that says "Please run EverQuest.exe" -- and I can't figure out if that "patchme" part needs to be included in some way. Either I'm retarded or the directions are retarded.

right click on the eqgame.exe icon
make a short cut, move it to your desktop. Then right click and go to properties. Then just add patchme at the end.

Download Daemon tools to emulate the CD.

Then target the .ccd file to start it up. It'll run it just like a normal .exe
