+22 Internets | We used to say... Don't feed the trolls. This nugget of wisdom is the result of countless hours of observation of the behavior of internet malcontents. The stance on not responding to those who would draw us into frivolous discussion was easier to enforce when the responses to those baited statements where open to see and easy to identify. With the advent of the 'internet' social status currency standard, the negative attention trolls crave can be anonymously donated to their accounts without recourse. This forces the 'don't feed the trolls' stance to adopt a broader footing. Now not only do we need to not feed the trolls but we also need to stop allocating -internets to them. Think of -internets as troll biscuts. Bite sized packets of negative attention. Well I suppose we don't NEED to stop giving obvious instigators -internets. But expect to see more shit bearded ass pirates attempting to board your threads while they try and swashfuckle their way into internets debt. It would be funny if there was an actual negative impact from gaining too many -internets. P.S. You know you've said internets too many times when it starts sounding like Ninernets. |
