| Red Faction: Guerilla The third installment to this revived series. Red Faction: Guerrilla Hands-On - Xbox 360 News at GameSpot My fondest memories of Red Faction were those moments when I would just spend so much time running around destroying the environment around me and anything I felt like smashing up. I even went as far as creating my own little tunnels using a rocket launcher. The weapon selection was fun, perhaps not original, but fun. It was fun especially when you would time your rail driver to one-shot your friend through a wall. Playing the multiplayer with friends always lead to a good time. Like Perfect Dark, it had bots at different difficulty levels which actually provided a decent challenge. I'm pretty excited to see what Volition has cooked up all these years. Also, here's an interview: GameSpot Video: Red Faction: Guerilla: Interview with Rick White Last edited by Flesseck : 04-05-2008 at 01:34 AM. |

| I loved the original but they really fucked up the second one, and now they're making this new one third person view, ew. Maybe it will sell ok on consoles, but I'm sure it will tank on the PC. I'm still going to give it a try, only because I loved the original so much. Last edited by Iadien : 04-05-2008 at 10:04 AM. |

| Right, and to continue with what I just said, since it was too subtle I guess, who gives a fuck about pc gamers? PC sales are so anemic compared to console that I imagine some titles barely meet their development cost.

| Really? Is that willful ignorance or are you just fucking stupid? In 2007, CoD4 for PC sold just over 380k copies...in February alone of 2008, CoD4 for the 360 sold over 296k copies. So yes, Valve, Activision, EA, all the big publishers are having trouble selling games on the PC. Get a clue you fucking moron.

| I suppose I've overspoken myself a bit...when I say I'm an employee, I mean that I'm a peon, not anyone even remotely connected to development. When I see people making stupid comments suggesting that publishers other than THQ aren't having trouble moving PC games, it touches a nerve. Hell, THQ is the publisher for the only innovative RTS studio in the last five years, and RTS games are pretty much exclusive to to PCs. As for RFG tanking on PC, define tank? I mean, obviously it's console sales will surpass the PC sales by miles, but how many PC copies do you think it's going to sell, and what are you basing those predictions on?

+5 Internets | I actually bought both red faction games. I found them to be competent, if not a bit derivative. I think, all things told, I had more fun playing them than playing for instance Resistance Fall of Man. Is it going to be CoD4 material? Really doubtful. Something worth playing? Probably. |

| Probly people like me and most of the people I personaly know in RL that haven't purchased a new console since my PS2 turned into a glorified DVD player. I haven't purchased a console game in probly 8 years now, I basicly have this perception that consoles are inferior to Pc's. I also hate the fact that console companies in general are to cheep to spend the Dev time on PC counterparts. |

Oh, and stop trying to be so mature. I played the hell out of the original on the PC, but I never touched the single player. Which is why the second one didn't interest me at all. Last edited by Iadien : 04-06-2008 at 05:28 PM. | |

| I forgot why, but the second one wasn't really as good as the first for me. I played through the single player campaign, and it was fun. The most fun I had was playing multiplayer with another friend against the bots. |
