Was going to let someone else chime in but even after reading all that I couldn't understand it because I don't know what RMT means. That whole article is fucking fail because any writer knows you put the full name then feel free to use the acronym through out. Will take a guess and say Real Money Transfers?

The game owner should have the right to determine if the virtual currency is a tradeable commodity. 99% will still disallow it, but that's their perogative. I hope the OP and his kind get banned, sued, and thrown in jail to be teabagged by Bruno, the 350 pound bald biker who killed two people in a barroom brawl.

First reaction was to call complete BS on that figure, but then it also includes selling characters. Personally I would never buy gold, but I always "cash out" by selling my characters when I quit an MMO. I've cashed out of EQ once WoW twice. A lot of people I know have done so as well, so maybe 25% isn't so far off.
