| The rep and comment system seems a little highschool to me but I can see how the active members of the board enjoy it. I'd imagine some members even lose sleep at night thinking about their negative internets. Is this supposed to be a popularity contest or something? | Ok, the last time I started this I got banned so bear with me. I started doing "The path to zero demands it" because I thought the system was really stupid so my response was to give everyone with a positive score a negative internets and everyone with a negative score a positive internets. I'm surprised anyone cared enough to complain and doublely surprised anyone would follow along. Like I said, I just thought the system was dumb so I was exercising some pretty lame civil disobedience. But I don't think the system is dumb anymore. After my vacation I got it explained to me by someone who shall not be named that the real reason for implementing this system was to screen out everyone who made multiple accounts that slipped through the cracks. Apparently you would not fucking believe how many total dumbasses cannot resist giving out extra positives and extra negatives. I always hated people who played dummy account games so I'm fine with the system and I'm not going to give out pluses or minuses to anyone anymore.

| And more importantly, presuming your assertion about the real reason for the rep system being implement is true (which I find pretty unlikely), do you honestly think that whoever told you that would've wanted it told to everyone? We'll see if your post disappears and you get banned again, I suppose. |

| It was a two week vacation but on appeal the judge gave me a suspended sentence. Both related threads "New reputation system" and "Screenshots: an honest conversation" are in the 'shaw and locked (thank god). I don't intend to make it sound sinister. Replace "real reason" with "gigantic selling point for implementing such a system"

| I'm with arbitrary. The rep system is shitty. I mean I thought about makin a post titled, "are - internets really + internets?" Point being a lot of people are just pushing to go way negative. I don't try to piss people off but people read anything and just toss some stupid - on you, which is fine if that's what they wanna do. I'd prefer to hover around 0 or be positive but fuck it, the board is loaded w/ smart people and plenty of tards also. Even aside from the shittiness of the rep system it is kinda funny, especially this thread and some of the golden comments I read now and again.
