The one thing that I see here more then anything else is, When people get flamed, A lot of the time they are getting flamed by NON-FOH members. But since it's thier board they take blame because of some jerk ass comes in here and wants to jump on the band wagon and *be the first flamer*.

FOH and AL are great guilds that anyone would be lucky to belong to. Most us the rest of us are a bit envyious that we dont belong/ dont have a guild that good.

Its like bitching about Bill Gates because he has so much money. You can bitch all you want but it doesnt get you any richer. Same here. People bitch all they want but it doesnt make thier character/guild any better.

No Syiann, it has nothing at all with wanting to be part of an uber guild.

FoH has done alot of firsts in this game, and more power to them. They have put forth the time and committment to accomplish much in a computer game. They deserve the accolades they get for that effort.

But to get back to the main idea in this thread, just because they're the first to drop an_uber_mob00 or go the Plane of Dirty Underwear before anyone else doesn't give them or anyone else the right to block others from trying to drop that an_uber_mob00 or to run roughshod over people who were at content first.

I pay my money each month to play, just like FoH and Afterlife and the all the rest of the people who play EverQuest.

If I have a group, and were at Juggs, PoI, Decay, Valor, or orc pawns, just because FoH says they want them doesn't mean that they should have them.

The reverse of this is also true. If I want to do content that another group or guild is using, then I have to wait. There is plenty of content out there now, so I'll go find something else to do.

Some players forget that there is a real person behind the avatar. A real person that payed his monthy fee and is trying to enjoy the same content.

Sometimes, it means that even Fires of Heaven have to wait.

Furor mentioned that he has some "special kids" in his guild that when he's not around they lose control of themselves and do stupid things. Perhaps the uber guilds need these people because they fuel the raids and give and give and give til there isn't anything left to give, then give some more.

But these same people and others like them also go out of their way sometimes to grief other players just because those other players got to content first.

Too fucking bad.....suck it up.

It doesn't take rocket science to understand that if someone else is there, you need to wait.

Cockblocking content or training people away from content is stupid.

Sometimes people just need to pull their heads out of their asses and grow up.

If I'm at someplace someone else wants, they wait. Now, I'm glad to let them know in advance when I leave so that they can come over and have it. But just because you have the biggest dick in Norrath doesn't mean you can train people and take content from them just because you can or want to.

Personally I don't care if your from Fires of Heaven or a Tier 3 guild that is just starting out. You want to use content I'm using, you wait. If I got there first, too bad. Next time get there faster. You have no right to deny me what I can try to do or what I'm doing right now.

I know this is your guild message board, and its about Everquest. But as a lurker who finally started posting, I have to ask you something.

EQ is a game, the biggest skill involved is the ability to dedicate massive hours of your life sitting in front of a PC. If you can pay attention, invest the time practicing, and work together you can beat most anything. It isn't astro-physics, nor is it even chess. The rewards are virtual (unless you are an EBayer or PlayerAuctions seller) and at the end of the day when EQ is over all that will remain are your memories of the thousands of hours you spent playing it.

So my question is this: why do you feel the need to belittle virtually anyone who doesn't fit the FOH uber mold, labeling them gimps, losers, homos, or whatever the flame of the day is? Whats wrong with a guild that takes more people to kill an encounter, or uses a different method, as long as they are having fun? How does what another guild or player does affect your own gaming experience? If anything the ubers negatively impact others gaming experiences more than anyone by monopolizing spawns and denying content (i.e. farming Emp on respawn to cockblock VT) Who fucking cares what someone else does and why the need to inflate your own ego belittling them?

(and for the reference, I used to be in the top guild of my server before I quit the game for a while, so I was at the top of the game)

Errr.. I'm just curious if you actually read this original post? The post is about FOH belittling people here. It is about Flaming others, calling them gimps or whatever. That is what this ORIGINAL post was about.
So it comes back to the fact that,
1. Gimp (a) wants to come on to the FOH board and bitch about being called a gimp.
2. FOH again calls said Gimp (a) a loser/homo or whatever.
3. Said Gimp (a) comes back with a lame retort and gets flamed even more.
4. Gimp then starts a new thread on why FOH should'nt call people gimps because there are real people behind the Avatar.

I think that about covers the life and times of this thread.
Next time there will be a two drink minimum.
