my rep consists mostly of comments that feature the word "asian" "love" and "penis", and the amount of people who +/- that about me is about 75/25. should I be concerned?

As much as it would be interesting to see who rated what and their comment, the whole retaliation thing woud just fag up the whole thing. Most receiving a negative rating will just turn around and retaliate with the same thing no matter the quality of the posts. You just have to look at the first ratings done when you could see from who it came from and you can see a lot of that shit going on, it's just retarded.

Having said that, I'm wondering if the rating was necessary. By now everybody knows who's a troll, who's retarded and who makes quality posts. Isn't the "an Internet for you!" a /b/ meme anyway?

I think it's all in good fun. Just like post counts, it doesn't really mean anything. It's just for entertainment purposes. Obviously there are going to be certain people who grief others with negative feedback, and there are going to be certain people (like me!) who try to be friendly and give people positives. Just off the top of my head, I anticipate a fairly normal distribution of feedback ratings among the population here. Maybe a few outliers at either extreme (Wolfen, for instance). But I think most people are going to end up with relatively even ratings over time.

Yeah, I agree it's all in good fun. But I also think it will get old sooner rather than later.

And the first person to actually e-peen a post with "I have more internets' than you!" as if it proves their point, will get all my -'s.

Otherwise I really don't see myself using the "-"
