| To anyone who knows Tortoise I don't know him, but I know there are people who post here that do. I came across his journal recently, and it seems the guy is having some problems. I'm just wondering if there's anyone here that knows him well enough to help the guy out, I'd hate to see him die for no reason. He's like what, 14 years old, i think? Too young to die. | I hate to be the cynical jerk, and I do like Tortoise, but I don't understand what is wrong with some young people. The guy doesn't know shit about hard times, if what he has posted on his website is his reasons for commiting suicide. He's make a 65 in English. So what? It's an extremely meaningless grade in his age of schooling. Obviously I am no pyschologist, I don't understand what these people have going in their head. I truly wonder if he really wants to commit suicide, or want's attention from us, or from the Marissa girl. Killing yourself over a 65 in English, that is rediculous. Why don't you study harder instead? Everyone wants to seem like they have a tough life. And a lot of people have tougher lives. And there are millions of people who know tons more about tragedy than making a 65 in English. Think of the people who lost their families in Sept 11th. Or think of the Man who was walking out of the Michael's with his wife, and he starts loading packages into his car, and boom, suddenly half of head is blown off by that god damned fucking sniper. If you read half of the blogs on the deadjournal webpage, it's all young people who act like their life is so tough. Trust me, if you have time to be maintaining an internet blog, your life is not that tough. Hell, I don't have a rough life. If my grades start to drop, I study. I don't try to off myself. Yes, I know about hard times, I've had loved ones die, but killing myself never occured to me. That's just being a coward. It's the bullshit, chicken way out of any kind of trouble. In fact, it makes me sick to think about someone saying they are going to kill themselves. No matter what, there are people who love you in this world. And think about the grief you will cause them if you kill yourself. Just because someone is mad at your doesn't mean they don't love you. And that makes me think of my good-friend Julia who's dad has lung cancer, that has metastisized into his vertebrae. She's not going around contemplating suicide. You have something wrong with you Tortoise, if you are truly considering commiting suicide over some grades, or over some girl that doesn't like you when you are 14. Fourteen years old is fucking young. There is right at a 100% that no girl that you are in love with at fourteen years old you will marry. If you are truly considering commiting suicide Tortoise, then you need to talk to your school conselor, or your parents. Let them know what you are doing. And 7 aspirin will not do the trick. Anyway, I'm sick of writing in this thing, so I'm ending this post.

| 0 sympathy Sorry, but I have no sympathy for the alledged suicidal. I've been under the supreme throes of acute depression since the tender age of 13. I've hated most every aspect of life for more than a decade now. I am on the verge of 30 and still struggling with social retardation and all of the joys associated with the inability to interact with my fellow humans. Either kill yourself, or strive to improve that which you find so abbhorent about your life. Announcing to others, especially anonymous masses, that you are considering suicide is little more than a plea for attention. As far as I am concerned depression, and consequently suicide, is another manifestation of suvival of the fitest. Correct your life, deal with the issues that plague you, or fucking check out already. Either way, the rest of us don't deserve the burden of his private hell. Life is hard enough already, even in this fabulous nation called the USA. I don't try and weigh others down with my emotional conundrums unless I'm paying for it. No one else should either. +9 Internets  | Heh, actually teenagers have an increased and varying amount of hormones(as everyone knows) This makes them inexpecably emotional(think addicted person leaving addiction or PMS lady). Naturally the experience periods of mood swings which can lead to depression. The slightest things(low score on shitty tests) can be the name they use to blame their depression on, or whatever. I'm sixteen and I hate this fucking body and can't wait till it gets out of this fucking stage. It's not that bad for me personally, I know I have a pretty good life, but I do notice I feel shitty for no reason. That's not to say that there aren't teenagers with hard lives, it's just a general rule of thumb. As far as people who claim to be suicidal, the sheer gravity of thinking you would poke fun or humiliate someone who would announce their want for suicide, and then find out later they carried out with it, is enough to deter me from attempting demean their problems. I don't see people like SpankTheMoney as depraved anti-life lunatics or anything, but I myself wouldn't be happy to contribute to the death of someone(though I'm against Jean Jacquee Russeu on the society's fault thing) |

| actually most people go through thoughts of suicide. like, almost everyone. they just dont admit it because they think they look like outcasts or something. everyone feels their life sucks no matter how perfect it is(cept snoop dogg, mah hero). id also like to think my terrible reply got this thread rickshawed, but i know im not that good yet
