| Class thread - Necromancer Hi all. Not sure if starting new threads is the done thing around here, so forgive me if this is a bit of a newbish mistake. However, as there seem to be a lot of people playing AoC, and a lot more about to play AoC, I thought it might be sensible to start a few class threads as appropriate? (again, if I'm doing something wrong just delete the thread and send me an abusive PM) So, as I'm a necro-obsessive, here's my build. It centers on pets, unholy hands snares, and I plan on using necrotic bombs/caster pets/corruptors as appropriate. I'm hoping the talent to reduce casting time/mana cost will help me rotate/resummon pets fast enough to deal with changing PvP/PvE situations. Ideally I want to PvP, but PvE grinding will have to happen at some point I suppose :P There's even 2 points spent in Reanimation to make me more group friendly!!1! See if you can find them ![]() hybes.org - age of conan database Let me know what you think. |

| I read that the AoC necromancer is more of a mini pet class not really a full outright pet class (or ability to be one). The pets don't tank except rarely when a spell is used. They don't deal a significant portion or all of your damage. You don't have a heavy myriad of abilities all centered around the *real time* control, manipulation, and protection of your pets. Further your ability to micro manage them (organize into different formation or attack multiple targets) is limited to a single target. Also from the videos it looks like they run significantly slower then you and have no talents to increase their speed to keep up. If I am wrong someone please correct me.

+1 Internets | They are slower but seem to "burst" when given the attack command. I liken the pets to the SK pet from EQ. They are more just a dot with a face on it except for 20 seconds every two minutes when I use Frenzy. The corruptors have a unholy ae type of damage they do when meleeing. This effects multiple mobs but thats all I've really noticed. Even still Necros > * ![]() |

+21 Internets | I read that necromancers have the most powerful poison attacks in the game but they can't pierce the skin so they are pretty gimp right now. They do get the "Pierce Eyeball" feat at 80 though and they become beasts. |
