FiveThirtyEight pointed out yet another Sean Hannity contradiction:

Quote:
I watched a little bit of Hannity's America tonight, the subject of which was "The Real Barack Obama". Hannity spent most of the program trying (and usually failing) to reconcile two apparently contradictory notions: the right's former favorite criticism about Obama -- that he's a demagogue who intends to bring a radical liberal agenda to the White House -- with their new favorite criticism -- that he's a pandering do-anything, say-anything flip-flopper, cut from the same cloth as Clinton, Gore and Kerry.
An article on the conservative National Review about Michelle Obama talks about how the GOP's attacks on Michelle will backfire and also mentions the contradictions of Sean Hannity as that little degenerate, lying fucker makes up lies about both Obamas:

Quote:
Sean Hannity of Fox News, the self-designated launching pad for many of the personal attacks on both Obamas, hasn't been able to draw a poisoned breath without immediate contradiction.
  • Conservatives argue that he has no record on anything but he has a long radical leftist voting record.
  • Conservatives say he is a radical Muslim and a radical Christian. I think "radical" is the new code word for "black".
  • Conservatives say he is a ruthless, politically expedient politician but is also naive on every political issue.
  • Kansas Republican Senator Sam Brownback says Obama is not bi-partisan but has personally worked on at least 5 issues together including a published newspaper article together.
At this point Conservatives are just getting desperate and hoping that something will stick if they just throw everything out. They will try and fail with everything and then come to the conclusion that they will just have to say "Vote White" or decide if it is worth it to start a war in Iran and that may change the mind of people for McCain.

If Obama can get up to a double digit lead in the polls, Bush will attack Iran to help McCain. If your summer vacation is to Iran, but sure to watch the polls because you could be caught up in a war if Obama starts to get a good lead.

Joe "Israel First" Lieberman is at it again:

Lieberman: U.S. May Be Attacked In 2009, McCain Supporter Says Terrorists Have Tested New Presidents By Launching Attacks In First Year Of Term - CBS News

He's just itching for us to start a war with Iran.

But here's the point. We're in a war against Islamist extremists who attacked us on 9/11.
Are we? I thought we were in a pointless war in Iraq.

Findlay is probably the most Republican town I've been to in Ohio. Lots of old-money, war vets, and agri-folk. My ex went there for college, and even the college (UofFindlay) is pretty conservative. It doesn't surprise me in the least that there are people there that think he's a gay Muslim from Africa who wants to bring his entire family over here and this country to ruins.

(Ha.)

It's sad, but hey, that's why Bush had a close call in Ohio anyway.

McCain campaign: Clark's comments 'sad' - CNN.com

Poor McCain....finally somebody calling him out on his "experience" and all he can say is that it's "sad" what Clark did. All this will do is put even it more on the forefront now in the media.

It's not like McCain can attack Clark on his lack of patriotism, his military experience, or anything else that McCain trumpets as his claim to fame. So all that's left is for McCain's campaign to say that Obama doesn't have the courage to say it himself--knowing that saying it himself meant that McCain would simply retort with "Where's your military experience, kiddo?"

I'm glad Clark is cutting through the mystique and bullshit.

It is good and bad. I don't think disputing McCain's military record has much validity with the American people. Although Clark is "taking one for the team" here, they need to get McCain on the economy and use code words for his age like "confused". I think this takes Clark out of the VP race.

However, it looks like we may get our wish and that asshole Romney may be McCain's VP. Many of the Christian Right will be against Romney as well as people who are prejudice to Mormons. Being a Mormon may not be as bad as being a Muslim but it is close in the eyes of the Red Staters. I am not sure where Mormons fall on the hatred list to Jews.

Hey Red Staters, who do y'all hate most? Jews or Mormons?

Red State Hate List
  1. Muslims
  2. Blacks
  3. Democrats
  4. Gays
  5. Arabs
  6. Hispanics
  7. Asians
  8. Jews
  9. Mormons
  10. People who don't drive pick-up trucks. Special hatred for people who drive Toyota Prius or Volvos.
  11. People who drink imported beer.
  12. People who think Jeff Gordon is better than Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  13. People who think incest is bad.

I think you downplay the importance NASCAR-ites put on the difference between Gordon and Junior.

Obama rejected Clark's comments...none too happy about this. Clark was spot on in his comments. Obama and the Dems need to grow a spine.

It's actually a fairly decent move. The shit that needs to get brought up, gets brought up and Obama gets to still look like he's in the right about how he runs his campaign.

No doing this would just energize the republican base. The republican base is suffering badly right now from lack of will to give a damn. Start attacking their republican leader and they will fight back in force and go to the polls in force. Better to just ignore McCain and downplay him as often as possible. Marginalize him and not enough people will care in november to vote for him in the polls.

do you really not see the irony in taking a huge population of people and stereotyping them all as a bunch of racists?

sackless, ignorant fairies like you are what turns people with a reasonable amount of testicular fortitude away from the democratic party.

if i didn't already want mccain to win this thing from the start, i would by now just from reading the ass-chowder that you spew in these forums. it would be too hard to resist my mental image of you on november 11th. you'll be sitting there all alone in the dark decked out in your obama gear from top to bottom. then it happens- the election is called for mccain. for a few moments you don't feel a thing. then it hits you like a ton of bricks. all that time you spent preaching your pussy bullshit on the internet, all the money you donated, all your HOPES and dreams out the window. slowly your bottom lip begins to quiver and a tear rolls down your cheek. then another. and another. and in another moment you are bawling like Etoille that time her fat ass showed up at chick-fil-a on a sunday. you fall to the ground and lie there in a pathetic little heap sobbing and slobbering until you make the first good decision of your miserable life by crawling to your closet and getting your gun. you shove the barrell deep into your mouth and the last thing that goes through your mind before that bullet does is that it is mccain who is fighting for your right to own guns, and you owe him at least a little bit of gratitude.

I see why Obama had to do it, but I don't like that he did it.

Just as some have suggested that Obama's race has been an issue you cannot talk about, the GOP has crafted McCain's military past into just such a topic.

If someone says something about you that you feel is untrue, why not confront them with words and prove them wrong? Why would you whine to the media and demand someone else "reject" a statement--like anyone gives a shit. Rejecting a statement doesn't make it any less true.

I agree. I love it. I told you that Obama is ruthless. Hopefully he will continue some of these underhanded techniques. Send someone out to hit below the belt and then sit back on the ivory tower and act as if he is above it. This is Chicago politics at it's best.
