McCain can talk about the issues. Nothing more, nothing less. As I said before he will talk about issues until ultimately he starts to fall in the polls and then the "Sean Hannity Doctrine" will begin. Gutter campaigns are the last refuge of scoundrels. McCain will have a big red "SCOUNDREL" tattoo on his forehead by October. Probably earlier.

| I don't know about Bush attacking Iran before he gets out of office thats just way to bad for the US in every way. We look like instant warmongers if he does that and to do it while on his way out of the white house is beyond low. It would be a pretty much unprovoked attack and any justification would be pretty baseless compared to countries who need our help where genocide is currently going on. Seriously starting another war at this point is like trying to start WWIII we need to get off this war track and just let other countries be. I don't think Bush will go that low and I don't think as a country we can afford to just go around attacking anyone. Man we need better leadership.

Karl Rove is a sneaky man. By the time IRB is done, all the old Jonestown jokes will be replaced with Obamamania jokes.

| TRANSCRIPT: OBAMA ON ‘FNS’ - America’s Election HQ Question: Do you think that Reverend Wright is just the victim here? OBAMA: No. I think that people were legitimately offended by some of the comments that he had made in the past. The fact that he is my former pastor I think makes it a legitimate political issue. So I understand that. I think that it is also true that to run a snippet of 30-second sound bites, selecting out of a 30-year career, simplified and caricatured him, and caricatured the church. And I think that was done in a fairly deliberate way. |

I really don't think even Bush is dumb enough to do such a thing, unless they manage to fabricate some Gulf of Tonkin incident, and I'm not a big believer in conspiracy theories most of the time. Hopefully Iran isn't fucking dumb enough to give them an incident they can play off, anyway. Quote:

| The Republican party is demonizing Mahmud Ahmadinejad but does not realize that Ali Khamenei is the Supreme Leader of Iran. Not only that but Khamenei condemned the attack on 9/11. However, the idiot Republicans are beating the drum beat of war against Ahmadinejad. Here is the new Idiot-in-Chief of the Republican party making yet another gaffe due to his ignorance and fear of the Muslim world. Look how smug this guy is. | Proud Communist | The President has the power to order the US Military anywhere to do anything, and he only has to seek approval from Congress after 30 (or is it 90?) days. Quote:
They are allowed to pursue peaceful nuclear energy as persuant to the Non-Proliferation Act that they (and lots of other countries, including the US, but excluding Israel) have signed. They have met all IEAE (or whatever the acronym is) guidelines, and things are moving along smoothly. Eomer covered it well.
