What about Florida led you to place it on that list of people who would follow Obama because looks too old? Was it their disenfranchisement at the hands of the democratic party or the 25% of their voting population that is of retirement age.

This is correct. Florida stays red with Obama being the Democratic nominee. McCain will win Florida by a huge margin and there will be no Palm Beach County shenanigans this time around.

Where did she write about the sociological differences between Whites and Blacks?

She wrote about the increased identification of Black Princeton graduates with Whites over Blacks. She clearly expresses disappointment at this trend and also highlights her distinctions along racial rather than class/economic boundaries.

The part that should be rationalized is how Obama can claim to be a post-racial candidate when closely surrounded by racial-centric people. You are free to (irrationally) ignore it.

Who is Obama going to get for a running mate?

I'm still thinking McCain goes with Carly Firiona...It would be an excellent way to scoop up disgruntled Hillary fans.

Expressed. Past tense. You can't cite a 1981 paper and treat it as if written in today's climate.

Even retirees don't want to vote for someone who looks older then they do. And even though it's widely known for it's aged citizens, it not like the state doesn't have a large population under 65.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

Im guessing alot of people feel slightly "fooled" by Bush and the republican party. After the most unpopular president in modern history spending shit tons of money and expanding gov't as a republican people are fed up.

Sure maybe not the diehard neo-cons, but they wont matter this election. The middle of the road will, and the middle of the road will see a 70+ year old man with McSame as Bush ads running 24/7 vs a young new face.

Its obama's race to lose and hes shown he can roll with the punches/teflon it up quite a bit.

(Notice how Phelps is still talking about Wright and Michelle Obama, instead of real issues... character assassination instead of ideas and discourse)

I'd like to see someone address real issues, like pro's/con's of both candidate's healthcare reforms, economic reforms, domestic spending, foreign policy, etc.

Usually, I couldn't care less about running mates.

This time I do but only for McCain. (Obama, not so much.)

Face it, the guy is old as fuck. I'm not saying he will die in office, but he would have a greater than average chance of dying in office. Therefore, his running mate will be a factor for me. If he decides to go the 'moderate' route and picks a lunatic to help shore up the fundie vote, this will matter to me.

Who Obama picks is next to irrelevant for me. Although there is always that joke that he should pick a hispanic jew so that the KKK wouldn't dare assassinate him.

Alright, let me know the cutoff date so I know what is off-limits for McCain's record too.

Notice how Grobbee is talking about Phelps talking about Obama's character issues but not about the people bringing up McCain's age.

Quoted to prove my point. Anyone believe me now? This is the Republican party platform. "Vote against those evil Blacks." He did not mention Farrakhan yet. Waiting on that one. Phelps and his kind will not point to anything about Obama directly. Only people he knows. He will start telling us his lawn man is a Marxist next and stole fish from a market in Mexico. Therefore, Obama should not be President. He may steal some fish because his lawn man did.

Age is different. Race and gender will not affect your ability to govern. McNasty may be senile. The Presidency is a very demanding position. Age matters.
