Edit** His best option would be a white women. Hilary's women would would go screaming towards him then if Obama picked anyone other then Hilary herself.
The smartest VP pick for McCain would be Kay Bailey Hutchinson. I would actually be worried if he picked her. It think he will go with Romney however so we are safe. Romney will be a great gift.

Obama will not win Georgia, but the mere fact he's making it close is surprising.

Barr 5.6% <---this is why it's close

Undecided 7.4% <---this is why it's in play

TPM Election Central | Talking Points Memo | Exclusive: MoveOn To Close Its 527 In Response To Obama's Candidacy

Quote:
To put this in perspective, MoveOn's 527 raised $20 million for the general election in 2004 -- and at least half of that came from donations over $5,000.
Wow, that's unexpected. Obama's giving up a lot of money with this choice, but I think it's good for his campaign and the election in general. Pressure is on McCain now, but can he afford to go after Republican 527s? Will they listen to him?

Thats a pretty big 527 for Obama to. I wonder if he can get a couple of these to close there doors in a similar fashion it would be great press.

I see now. You're one of those people that looks for reasons to be offended. It must be frustrating to go through life like that.

If the 527s run Rev. Wright videos in the state it will bring out more Black people for Obama which could turn Georgia blue.

Shunning moveon will prove to be a big mistake and will cost him the election. The repubs won't do anything so foolish as to shun the 527's.

Moveon is a bunch of wackjobs anyway. Much like the extremist right. Might help Obama take more from the right if he shuns some liberal crazies. Cause they will vote for him anyway.

Did you even read the article on their reaction?

Quote:
The decision doesn't mean MoveOn will stop spending on Obama's behalf. Instead it will raise money exclusively with its political action committee, whose average donation is below $50 and will even be raising money with things like bake sales starting this weekend.
Quote:
"This is an affirmation that we, like Senator Obama, believe that this election can be won by ordinary Americans giving small donations," MoveOn spokesperson Ilyse Hogue told me.
Just a glance at it would help you not say stuff that doesn't make sense.

Obama needs to fight fire with fire. Moveon.org is not extreme enough for me. If McCain's 527s run Rev. Wright, Moveon.org should run Cindy McCain with pills. If McCain's 527's mention flag pins, Moveon.org should talk about McCain's affair with that lobbyist. If they put a rumor out there of a "whitey" video, they need to do a full hollywood production of McCain in Depends diapers. I want to see nothing held back against McCain.

Moveon.org needs to bring a gun to a knife fight. They need to go so low and dirty it will make swift boating seem like a gentle exercise in political discussion. McCain's 527s will be at the lowest level we have seen in the history of this election. Obama needs to use his money and the money of his 527s to go even lower. He needs to make Bill Clinton look like a choir boy.

That's because you're an idiot. Do you think it's some strange coincidence he won over Hillary? That people are shying away from the republican party? Shit like that is what gets you a loss.

Interesting but Obama has to be careful here. Hagel could help him win but what if something happened to Obama? Hopefully not, but I think the chances of something happening to Obama are greater than usual (although still low). Hagel is in agreement with Obama on the war but is rather conservative on social issues, I believe.
