McCain ASKED both the Tennessee and N.C Republicans to stop their attack ads and they refused you degenerate. It wasn't that he "does not" it's that he COULD NOT. So I ask again, why does McCain try to control his own party and fail?

My point about the Clintons is completely valid. On Tuesday Hillary gave a speech in which she threatened to use her 18 million votes as leverage to get whatever she wanted. 2 days later Obama had his endorsement (scheduled endorsement at least) and promises from the Clinton camp that they would not try to strong arm the VP slot. You can't compare the political selfishness of the clintons to anyone from the republican field. and for Obama to have coralled them is an impressive showing of leadership.

There is not a republican parallel from this election cycle that even comes close. Guiliani endorsed McCain after 6 primaries/caucuses. Romney was out and endorsing McCain after super tuesday. The only real hold out was Huckabee, and he *never* threatened a convention fight or to use his delegates/popularity to leverage anything. None of the republican candidates did. Getting the endorsement of the other republican candidates who were *always* going to endorse the eventual nominee is SO impressive, you're right.
