Friend referred me to this emu server.

Seems to be an answer to my prayers at least. Steady population, good rule set, and the old school mentality. Check it out.

Played until level 30 but had to reformat due to a virus. It's well ran, but the hackers ruined the game. I'm sure the admins have taken care of them, though.

This is fairly amusing to play until one of the classic projects finish. It is PVP, but also it's classic, so even if you aren't interested in PvP that much you might want to give it a whirl. I played on it a bit at 50, seemed pretty fun. The server pop is pretty small, but there are guilds doing Nag/Vox, and also doing PoH/PoF since it has been opened recently (the planar armor is NODROP to boot, so if you get pk'ed, chances are you're losing it.) They also added items SOE took out like Manastone and Guise of the Deceiver.

AFAIK, there is a few 'true classic' PvP servers in the making along with a few other PvE versions. Also being developed is a version for play on LAN/single player.

If you don't know what I mean about 'true classic' server, than check out the website of the most known one: EQClassic - Classic EverQuest Server

Currently, EQC plans to go PvE but I know there are a number of projects floating around such as 'Project Bloodlust' who plans on doing PvP. Bloodlust at one point had a website but was closed to the public until release comes closer.

Sorry for the thread derail, but it was worth mentioning since these are possibly the coolest emulated servers I've heard about...ever?

Daxim is the head GM who runs and maintains the server. Great guy no doubt and always holds gm events which award phat lewts.

If your interested in pvping, then join the guild Rallos Cartel. All the other guilds are PVE

Well the name of the EQ PvP game is zone control, so...how can you not be PvE? Seriously, EQ PvP is about as boring as dog shit on its own.
