how you do this here. It's been possible to do this since at least the last patch. It's really easy to reproduce and very damaging.

the problem is that it has been ignored by VI for a while now and its not only possible since last patch unfortunatly its on for more then 1 month now and its REALLY annoying.

It must be discussed and used by some people so verant feels the need to fix it thats all.

I am not goin to post it again ecause the reason why i deleted it after a certain number of views was that i dont want it to hurt the gameplay too much.

i know what he's talking about and I know how to do it, it's on crashing zones. i was thinking of posting it here, but now i'm not going to since Furor obviously doesn't want anyone to, although the best way to get something fixed is to make it more public. of course there is that 1 month or more timeline of GAY where whenever you're raiding the zone crashes =)

Its SO easy to do you will laugh, literally the entire SZ server knows how to do it and zones crash in dozens daily, its really damn annoying and needs to be fixed ASAP

I doubt it's a surprise to anyone that SZ is the home of the worst exploitation of this ...

But yeah, it's pretty public knowledge on that server now how to do it, we've contacted the GM staff a million times over it, but they are either incompetant or they don't care, or both.

Or perhaps it's not easy to fix? With something like this it's either bring down the entirety of EverQuest, try and rollback the base code(which is NOT easy), or just hope people won't (ab)use it. No way in hell is Verant going to do the first, the second is costly and not likely to work, so all that's left is option 3.

yes i guess letting a couple of people have the ability to crash any zone in EQ at will isn't really high priority since it might actually take work! GG genius

It's highly disruptive and using it to farm is an exploit.

It makes the zone crash, it is reproducible and it is documented, so I am confident that people using it in a way that is clearly not an accident will get warned/banned.

This alone should keep it from happening too often until the next patch I guess

1) the way it works it would be completely impossible to prove it was an accident. It could EASILY happen very naturally 20-30 times a day in the same zone, there would be no fair way to penalize people w/ a bad connection (yes thats a hint~)
