i haven't seen brad post anything anywhere for quite some time. in all honesty, i am not at all "happy" about what happened with sigil games and VG, as much as i do joke about the game now. i really wanted the game to be successful and fun. i liked the idea of a more challenging, EQ'ish style MMO. unforunately, it sounds like sigil lacked any type of leadership or direction and they totally squandered $40 million and 5 years of development, not to mention a lot of people who lost their jobs and a lot of subscribers (like myself) and employees who were outright lied to.

i think the worst part of all of this (and this is only what i heard through other people) is that brad wasn't even there when all the guys were fired. that is some cowardly spineless shit right there. if i ran a company and we went bankrupt and i had to let people go, i'd at least have the balls to be there and tell them how sorry i was for everything.

Can you point out where that is relevant to what I wrote? Braen asked what my response was -- I replied I was still going to play the game as I still liked it regardless of the fact that when the game was released much of the gameplay that was at release was developed from Jan 2006 (aside from art assets).

In response to your post I might say just cause Tec wrote it here doesn't mean that every word is true. I am sure that Smed or Nino or Tagad or Butler might have different views on things. And yes we already knew that Gilbertson didn't have a clue, that the majority of the game was built in a year, and that a lot of the devs had only a little experience.

Before I finally clear up this 27gb, I do have some gold that a newbie can have. A few people from this forum mailed me silver/gold (mostly just off trial accounts they had) to help me start out, so I'd happily give it to some other FoH VG player.

This offer isn't open to you selfish higher level fuckers, none of whom could spare a single gold to help out a new player, especially you lying assholes with your "NEVER. EVER. WILL I PLAY VANGUARD EVER AGAIN, BUT I HAVE A LEVEL 50 WITH 100 PLAT SITTING ON THEM." Fuck you.

I only have 3-4 gold left (twinking new alts every other day while I was trying this turd of a game cost a lot), but just PM me if you want it. This will make leveling 1-12 or so a bit easier (buying those "gold" weapons makes any melee character level about 8 times faster than with "normal" gear).

After Tec's write-up I have to chuckle to myself how so many times some of us have been proven correct on different game failures.

It is things like this and the inbreeding of most of the people involved in this industry that keeps me very suspicious when I see a company hire people that for instance, lied thru their teeth about EQ2, and are in the same positions with a new start-up company.

One day you youngsters will learn that experience is one hell of a teacher and us old farts know a lot more about that which we speak then you give us credit for.

The one that really must be having a hard time not laughing himself to death must be Ut since almost everything Tec said Ut had said at one time or another related to EVERYTHING Brad, Smed, or Butler have ever had their hands on.

He would just rant and rave as if he was the only person with a clue about the game, even when it was blatantly apparent to everyone VG was going to fail.
