We will see.
Until you realize that game wide there are now only 12 such channels. Each of the four servers has one regional chat channel per continent.

I did exactly that.

Maybe he'd have more luck with a "We really are turning this shit around, .. "

I'd say extreme changes are in order.

The only problem, being SOE these will be half baked, rushed changes without polish or shine that set the game back even more.

I give them a lot of credit for launching an MMO of this caliber
This made me laugh.

It all sounds good, honestly; but there's no reason to believe any of this will happen (or if it does, anytime soon).

Who knows, maybe this guy will be what Scott Hartsman was for EQ2... doubtful.

This guy is just Brad with a name change. Was "REAL TIME RTS SUPER CITY BUILD" mentioned?

But the good news, well mostly, is that subs are going up and it has been one year now and Vanguard has turned the corner.

More like Waterworld. VG spent all their time on graphics and forgot the rest of the game. In the same way Waterworld made the water so great but forgot to put a movie around it.

The one thing he doesn't promise is new content. Focusing the small dev team on quality of play issues is great, and there's lots of improvements that can be made. However given the slow pace of development they need to be thinking about L50 non-raid content and the next raid zone now.

Yeah.. right. You'll be lucky to see APW before the new year and then you can forget any new raid areas before Q4 2008.

I don't know; this letter suggests "We're going to try to make this game fun and accessible", whereas Brad's would read something like "I have no idea what's going on with the game right now, but it's amazing. Look forward to expansions and their cool features!"

I am waiting for my invitation to come and try Vanguard for free. I won't touch it unless I get a free month or two. I think it is a fair trade for the paid beta testing I and many other were subjected to.

This is what got me. I wish I could find the quote, but someone at Sony said "APW is essentially finished, were just itemizing the bosses now" 3 weeks after they announced it. 6 months later, there is shit--so much for essentially finished. Its obvious now they were lying through their teeth about the state of APW in a desperate attempt to hold the 50 players they had left on 12 different servers. Yet another reason not to give Vanguard any more dollars. The buck has to stop somewhere, and with it, the deception.

If only the dunce had said vanguard is essentially finished, it would have been sig material. The only reason Vanguard is still alive is because it runs on con money. It might as well be the same as blood money.

I have a hunch the subscribers of Vanguard are very religious. Hmmm

What's with the burning/swirling sky in the first screenshot? Is that an alternate plane?
